Events do not show detail

On TK ... the evens listed do not show a host name or what the game is other than Spades (in our case). When I click on EDIT, it shows me as the host and all of the details .. and the actual tourney host in the box for "Site Host Name" ... Can you please explain what will actually show on the lobby board?

Was their something wrong with the old system? Just asking.

I went ahead and added the Host to the list of tournaments on tourneyking.com. I think the other issues in this thread have been addressed. If not feel free to add a new idea

The Site Description and Site Host Name will only show up on the lobby board. The other fields show up on tourneyking.com.

As it is, on the lobbyboard, all I can see is the tourney without any details. I looked around and there is no link for tourney king so why are we doing this now? Details of the tourney needs to be visible in the lobbyboard!

Things will make more sense as we flesh out more details around the TK events. Part of the transitions is dealing with the game clients as they stand and trying to keep the lobby list more or less the same for now.

The 1st phase is to just replicate the tools for posting tourneys that you had which it what we're sorting out now.

Thanks.

oh just a note on why there are 2 different descriptions..... We did a lot of wonky stuff in the game client that you guys have relied on... Color codes being an example. Those codes and formatting don't make sense the TK listing, so we kept both for hardwood related games so you can retail that functionality.

Right now, during this beta phase, we're focusing on League staff maintenance and posting, so not quite ready for general members checking out tourney king as we're working out the kinks before we broaden the audience. But what we can do is make the tourney listing on hardwood go to the tourney detail page pretty soon which will seem more useful.

When using the color codes, it is not necessary to put the code in each place. Enter it before the host name and it carries over on any part where you can have color. Also looking at the TK events for your room, if you put your description as say 2 vs 2 DE, you can't see the TD name, so when I fill in that field, I add my TD name first for ex: Atepas 2 vs 2 DE. That way you can look at all the events for your room and see who the TD is for each event showing.

I did notice when I go to edit an event, 1TOP Drunkie (owner) is always the TK host in the form, even if another host had been the database value for that field. Having some programming background, though, the fact that both the original value is not displayed when editing, and that the assigned value does not reflect in the update action makes me think the link between the web field and the database field is broken for that page.

The issue with the Host drop down not updating correctly is fixed. Be sure to do a shift refresh to get the latest version of the page

Please show token results (1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th) on main event page once event has ended
