One of our TDs loses TD designation

One of our TDs linked a nic "1topnascar" to Tourney King. I had to promote this one to TD status because it's not his normal TD nic, which is "1TOP NASCAR". I've used it to update and create events to list him as the host, but I've also noticed that when I come in here, he loses his TD status and reverts back to just being a "member", I am not sure why, and none of our other TDs have this problem. I am guessing it might have to do with the fact he linked a non-TD account to this and there is some behind-the-scenes validation to our TD list on the old site.

In addition to fixing this issue in general for the reason that we will eventually need to name new TDs that were not on the old list, would it be possible for someone to change the nic that allenhoffman0@gmail.com is linked to so that it links to his "1TOP NASCAR" HW nic instead since neither he nor I can do this as of yet?

Thanks!

I changed him to 1TOP NASCAR, and set TD status. I don't know why it would revert him back to Member. Let me know if it keeps happening. And maybe try to figure out what triggers it to happen

Many thanks! I will let you know if this happens again to him or other TDs in our league.

One of our TDs created an account and I promoted him to TD status (1TOP SCTNE). I went back in a few hours later and he was a member again. I promoted him again so he's showing as TD now.

I am not sure if it will stick this time or not, but I wanted to let you know as an fyi. I will update again if it happens again.

It did it two more times, where I had to go an promote 1TOP SCTNE to TD status.

I am guessing a database commit is not being performed and it does an implied rollback which is odd because I know the database committed the new events. I would guess the rollback happens before the insert into events happens.

Tried different scenarios.... thought maybe the values were being held in memory because 1TOP SCTNE was available to select in the create event screen, but after adding the event, I went back and he was a member again.

But I closed the tab and opened a new one and he was just a member, so it's reading this from some data storage location that at least keeps state-less values if not the member file in the database itself.

Ok, There was a bug where changes by Head TDs weren't being saved to the server. Owners/Leaders was working ok, that's why I didn't catch it sooner.

It's fixed now, so give it another try

Thanks, Gromph! I tested it and 1TOP SCTNE is retaining his TD status now after adding events after promoting him. I added 2 events and went back different ways and still he was TD.

The bug is fixed! :)
