Tourney features request (TOP Tournament)

Hi Jonas,

For TOP Tournament (and any others who do not make use of external tools), there are features we could utilize if you were to develop them to make tournament management easier.

1) Player registration. We currently do not use any registration process, which is nice in a way as we allow people to wander in and say "in please" and we put them in. However, it's when dealing with problem players who are there to cause issues that creates such a need. If Tourney King could be used such that people had to join our league as members to play, that would be where this could start. Then, if we decide to temporarily or permanently ban a player from our tournament, if we could mark them as being "banned", and if doing so would prevent any related nics on the same account (v1 issue only) from signing up as members, then we could effectively enforce a ban in a way we haven't been able to do on our own. We would not require registration for each event.. just joining once would allow a player to play that nic. We would allow players to join under as many of their nics as they want to play, though (if not banned).

2) Game results. Our TDs keep scores to convert to points for our leaderboard. One thing that would help is if we could have access to a page listing game results in our tourney much like you can do for a player on each player's web profile page. This one-stop shop to get all the game results will make a TD's job easier.

3) Control of game settings. One problem we have is when we ask players to set tables, they might set it wrong. If not noticed by the TD or any player, they could complete the game before it's discovered. Some tourney rooms have automatic settings so that all games are started the same, but we have different points for 1st round than for the semifinals and finals. If a TD could make custom adjustments to a table's default setting that can be one way at the start and changed before semifinal rounds begin, this would be a big help!


I have some wish-list items which I will post separately as they would be great to have but probably unrealistic for you to develop.
