Remove Members from a league

Some folks have shown some interesting in removing members from their leagues.

Currently members have no ability to take action in your league as long as they don't have TD or HTD status. a member is player in your league, not a staff member.

So just to get that out of the way, members can't post or otherwise thwart at league. As we get full tourney events going on, I could see how unwanted members could be an issue. So we'll probably need to get a feature in for someone to remove members.

So how would you want Member removal to work on Tourney King?
What rank in leadership should have member removal privileges?
I'd imagine the removed player shouldn't be able to rejoin.

The LEADER should have the key to designate who would have that power.
We should be able to remove member and ban like the current cases system has
WE need to be able if remove a td or htd that they don't have any lash back powers
Recently had an ha from another league go into my league and deleted tourneys while in progress this person deleted two tourneys in one nite and says of course was not them but their name appeared on signin to the htd account they used to delete tours . As leader HA should have main power as they know who there staff is.

I Agree. Also I would like to see the HA's of the room
have the power and be able to designate poiwer to staff members like cases does as far as which td's they allow to play in their own tourneys to use the power to remove trouble causing players from the lobby. players will come in and hold up a tourney saying that they need help. when you go to help them they take up your time with no intentions of playing and or, talking disrespectful to the room or to other players. this power would allow the td or ha of the room to remove that unregistered or registered player from the lobby so that the room can continue free of drama.

So these seem like 2 different ideas. Wes, I think you are talking more about a Hardwood room feature you probably should spin of your feature request to a new post.

Spadesbeybi, Currently the way it stands is that the Leader has the ability to designate who has TD or HTD status. It would be a lot less messy to make HTDs and the leader the folks that can remove a member.

The way I kinda look at it, as the higher you promote a member, the more responsibility you are giving them. HTDs can for instance make TDs, edit any event etc. So it make sense that a person you trust to do those things you can trust to boot a player entirely from the league.

SO we could add that as a function at HTD or higher.

Just to clarify Wes since I know its kinda muddy area, room features at Hardwood and League member maintenance at Tourney King are related but separate areas of development.

So we might for instance want to add a feature on TK to ban a player from coming back to the league. So we also might develop a feature on Hardwood to not let Banned players join a room. Related but different.
spades beybi, 06.03.2015, 16:53
Well would be a nice feature if the player is not able to access room as sometimes they come in make comments and run. OR WITH cases all they do is get a fake ip and rejoin under different name .
spades beybi, 06.03.2015, 21:43
I would like to know how you have me listed in another room and I DID NOT join that room ???? So there is something wrong if my name can be added when I SURE didn't join there. I SEnt messages with noooooooooooooooooooooooo reply thank u

So to be part of a league only happens by a) manually joining that league ( which could be by accident I suppose) or b) being a TD at some point for that league when we did our initial import of TDs.
spades Beybi, 09.03.2015, 18:19
UMMM how do I get removed as a member from the league I did not join to become one ?
spades beybi, 09.03.2015, 18:21
I did not join their manually and I was never a td there so there is a flaw somewhere. All am asking is please remove me as a member there.
JonasSCE, 09.03.2015, 18:59
You can always leave a league by going to the league page on TK, and up at the top there is a context menu next to your "Play as " Click on that and chose "quit league"
spades beybi, 11.03.2015, 17:17
Well ty for telling me how to quit a league I DIDNT join in first place my question is how did I get put there as a member?
JonasSCE, 11.03.2015, 17:21
Look back a few posts, I explained the possible ways how it might have happened.

Guess I havent been on here a while.

The discussion here is good and lines up with how I see it. I think owners and HTDs only should be allowed to remove TD status or player memberships (regular TDs should not have this power), and that it should be a tourney configuration whether or not membership in the league on TK is required to enter the tourney room. That way, if a player is banned, they cannot come into the room if so configured if they have not signed up for the league or have been banned from it. It will also allow us to give time to ensure players know to sign up here before we make membership mandatory.

Jonas,

I am HA of Dragons Realm / the owner in TK. I really need a tool to remove members. I have 4 members which I want to remove. One is not even a member of my league. Two others cannot be reached and the fourth cannot login to TK to remove herself.

Cheers,
Bert

I would like to see just the leader/HD Admin be the only person to have those tools. When push comes to shove it's thier responsibility and noone else's .
popsie, 16.12.2017, 00:53
I agree with sameosameo on the head admin only having them powers to do so or help the members fix their TK if having issues.
Bert_Camper, 16.09.2015, 09:30
It's about time this feature will be implemented...
Bert_Camper, 30.11.2015, 12:25
Jonas,
Can you please update on the implementation of this feature?

Thanks!
Bert
sameosameo1, 02.12.2015, 21:04
I think just the leader of the league should be the only one who can remove any members and also why does it take so long to unpurple a TD who has been removed as a td? I demoted a TD over 24 hrs ago and they are still purple when they come into the room.
Thanks
Sameo
JonasSCE, 04.12.2015, 18:24
Sameo, we should have a lobby update out today that will address the TD status speed and it would then be immediate.
